This project is coordinated by an international and interdisciplinary network with various stakeholders. The experience of conservators and monument conservators should not only be passed on within their own specialism; rather, we aim to extend the transfer of knowledge to an interdisciplinary and international level.
To this end, stakeholders from different countries are to be included in the network in order to ensure quality assurance and enable comprehensive knowledge transfer and cultural exchange. The participation of different disciplines gives students and graduates access to a wide range of further qualification opportunities.
- Strengthening the practical skills of future conservators and monument conservators
- Application of theoretical knowledge
- Teaching practical skills and gaining practical experience with cultural assets
→ Establishment of an international and interdisciplinary network to strengthen the practical skills of future conservators and monument conservators
Participation in the "preserve4future" project is intended for a diverse group of stakeholders in order to cover a broad base and promote the training and further education of future conservators. These include universities and colleges, property administrations such as church offices, state offices, property owners of historic buildings and monuments as well as small and medium-sized enterprises.
The involvement of these various interest groups not only ensures comprehensive quality assurance, but also promotes the exchange of knowledge within the project. As part of the funding project, appropriate organisational structures are to be developed to ensure the sustainable work of the network.
The benefits for the association members are as follows:
- Knowledge transfer at an international and interdisciplinary level contributes to quality assurance
- Positioning on the international education market
- Targeted promotion of young talent
- Further qualification of students
- Active contribution to the visualisation and preservation of cultural heritage
